We’re Celebrating Our 30th Anniversary

Thirty years sounds like a long time, but when you love what you’re doing, those years go by in a flash! 2019 marks the Santa Fe School of Cooking’s 30th anniversary, and we’re celebrating this special occasion by sharing all things 30!

Here are our monthly specials:

April - $30 class on Tuesday, April 30th
Traditional New Mexican I allows you to experience our delicious cuisine, including local cooking techniques and the lore of the region. This class includes corn tortillas, cheese enchilladas with red chile sauce, chicken enchilladas with green chile sauce, pinto beans, posole, and capirotada (bread pudding). Demonstration Class, 3-hours.

June - $30 class on Sunday, June 30th
Traditional New Mexican II allows you to experience this delicious cuisine, including local cooking techniques and the lore of the region. This class includes flour tortillas, carne adovada (red chile marinated pork), chiles rellenos, calabacitas (green chile, squash, corn), refritos, and sopapillas. Demonstration Class, 3-hours.

July - How do we celebrate the Fourth of July in Santa Fe style? Foods that are red, white and blue are a must! This special $30 per person, 3-hour, 30-year anniversary demonstration class boasts an only-in-Santa-Fe menu to celebrate our nation's birth: Red chile marinated pork, white corn posole, and blue corn chicken enchiladas are accompanied by refried beans and guacamole, and we end our salute to America with pecan bread pudding for dessert! September - $30 class on September 30th at 10
Traditional New Mexican III is a great fall menu that allows you to experience this delicious cuisine, including local cooking techniques and the lore of the region. This class includes classic New Mexican green chile stew, blue corn and green chile muffins, pinon butter, quesadillas, salsa fresca and rich natillas. Demonstration Class, 3-hours.

October - 30% discount on our SFSC Signature Stovetop Grill
Santa Fe School of Cooking Grill - Whether your stove is gas or electric, this no-smoke dry roasting stove-top grill is perfect for chiles, sweet peppers, tomatoes, garlic, onions, and other summer-fresh vegetables. November - $30 class on Saturday, November 30th at 10:00
Traditional New Mexican IV is our newest class on traditional New Mexican foods: it includes green chile and chico soup, beef carnitas served on a gordita, corn on the cob with cilantro lime butter, pickled jalapeno cabbage slaw and bizcochitos (New Mexico's official state cookie!) with cajeta. Demonstration Class, 3-hours.
