Private Events and Private Cooking Classes
“Santa Fe School of Cooking not only met our needs but greatly exceeded our expectations! We received fantastic food, drink, and the cooking class was informative and entertaining! The class went well beyond just demonstrating how the food was prepared, it included the history and cultural relevance. Our gathering was so well received by our staff that they have requested a repeat for next Christmas!”
– Wayne S. Lloyd, AIA President
“Our NCGA group attended cooking school on January 5, it was amazing! Everyone enjoyed the experience. We had a lot of fun, team bonding and learned some great recipes!”
– B. Bowden, NCGA Vice President

You can come in, and one of our chefs will either guide you along through the recipes that you have chosen, while your group cooks together or if you prefer a demonstration style class where the chef shares their vast knowledge of cooking ingredients and techniques all while putting on a ‘show’ for your group. No matter what you decide it will end in a delicious meal.
We also offer a very special and unique experience with Four-time James Beard Award-winning cookbook author Cheryl Alters Jamison who is available for cooking classes or culinary workshops at the cooking school or in her home. Cheryl lives and works in a distinctive hacienda, a renovated 100-year-old dairy barn in the village of Tesuque, just north of Santa Fe. She tends a small flock of chickens, with outsize personalities that lay all colors of eggs. She’s the author of more than 20 books, including Tasting New Mexico, The Rancho de Chimayò Cookbook, American Home Cooking, Born to Grill, and the landmark book on American barbecue, Smoke & Spice.
